Join us for the Dance On Up class with a new dance artist each term at Yorkshire Dance. The class is open to everyone over the age of 55 years and is ideal for those who love to dance or would like to express themselves creatively in a safe and non-judgemental space.

What to expect from the class

The sessions will provide a chance to challenge the mind and body through variety of dance styles, improving overall fitness and growing in confidence. Styles will vary from jazz, contemporary dance, period dance styles and creative movement.

Each week students will learn a new routine alongside creative tasks, guided improvisational tasks, creating a short movement phrase or working in pairs to create a duet.

This class is mostly suited to those with some dance and movement experience but we would still love you to come and give it a go if you think you don’t have the experience.
