Hatha Yoga combines asana (posture) and pranayama (breathing exercises) with even breathing and poses are generally held for long periods of time, connects the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability, feels the energy flowing in the body, focuses on the present moment, improves range of movement, lengthens and strengthens the body, relaxes and calms the body and mind.
Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
Classes are conducted in English or Bilingual (English and Cantonese).
I’m Ivy, I come from Hong Kong and I am a Certified Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance Continued Education Provider®, Usui Tibetan Reiki Practitioner and Usui Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher. Also, I am a Yoga Alliance Member, The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) – Yoga Associate Member, The Complementary Medical Association (The CMA) – Practitioner: Yoga Teaching & Reiki Master, The International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP®) – Reiki Master Teacher.
My yoga classes are energetic, fun and dynamic. I emphasize mindfulness in every breath and every asana, focus on alignment and safety during practice. My hope is for every student to leave my class with a deeper understanding of their practice, and to feel the balance in body & mind.
