Ian is the embodiment of the DAZL Model, After his vocational Performing Arts training he went on to do a BA Youth & Community Degree at Leeds Beckett University. Ian has worked as a freelance dance artist, choreographer and performer for many organisations and worked commercially in the dance, TV industry. As the DAZL Director his role is to ensure that DAZL strives to reach its organisational goals, In addition to this he’s the Founder and now advisory of the International Championship winning cheerdance academy Including the pioneering DAZL Boys which is the only one in Europe which is the which engages boys of all ages into cheerdance and has given the organisation world-wide success. Ian is NCSSE Master Level Cheerdance/ Cheerleading Coach and ICC World Dance Judge, Ian works nationally using the DAZL model and their academic research in dance and health to ignite conversations which bring the dance, sport and health sectors together. Ian has a passion for dance and health and those programs that engage boys into dance and creates pathways for them.
Ian will be leading the Dance with Social Purpose session alongside Tracy Witney (NSCD) and William from Kick Off Boys as part of the second Breakout Sessions.
