Maiya Leeke

Maiya graduated from NYDC this summer and is now on the MA Contemporary Dance Performance Programme at NSCD, working with Candoco as an apprentice dancer. Maiya grew up as a Jazz musician before starting dance at age 14. She then joined Ludus Youth Dance Company training in Contemporary dance for many years, and since then, her training has predominantly been with Hawk Dance Theatre.
Maiya will be leading the Speak Volumes – Ambition, Scale and Vision session alongside Hannah Kirkpatrick (Sadlers Wells), Ashur Cali and Katie Smith (National Youth Dance Company) as part of the first Breakout Sessions.
