Yorkshire Dance welcomes new Arts Administration Apprentice
Thu 5 January 2017Yorkshire Dance is pleased to welcome Rosie Hay as our new Arts Administration Apprentice. Rosie joins the Facilities team and as part of her role will study towards a Level 3 Diploma in Community Arts Management.
Rosie has recently moved to Leeds after spending a year travelling. She has previously worked and volunteered for a range of arts organisations, including Museums Sheffield, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and the Natural History Museum.
Rosie has a particular interest in Events and Volunteer Management. She has previously been a Head Volunteer at Sheffield Doc/Fest and has completed an internship as the Volunteer Coordinator for Light Night, at Leeds City Council. She is a keen volunteer herself and during her travels had the opportunity to spend time volunteering on a New Zealand orchard.
This is Rosie’s first role within a dance organisation and she welcomes this new challenge.
“I love working in a creative environment and I’m excited to get more involved with Yorkshire Dance’s many projects. This role will enable me to build on my Front of House Administration skills and while studying towards my qualification, offers the chance to work in new areas such as Marketing and Project Management.”
Rosie is already doing a superb job and we are thrilled to have this much needed support in our Facilities Team.
