Dance On Opportunity: International Women’s Day Flashmob
Fri 25 February 2022Part of: Dance On
Yorkshire Dance’s Dance On programme for over 55s is delighted to present a special flash mob performance at The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bradford on Tuesday 8th March to celebrate International Women’s Day. Shoppers and attendees will be invited to dance with the Dance On group or come along as a spectator and enjoy either of the two performances.
International Women’s Day is a global holiday to celebrate the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women and this year celebrates the theme Break the Bias. Dance On is delighted to be celebrating International Women’s Day in person again for the first time in two years.
Dance On participants across Braford and Leeds have been rehearsing a short routine in their weekly classes however the general public are encouraged to come along and join in with the festivities. Participants don’t need to have any dance or performance experience to get involved and show off their moves and you can learn the routine from a video beforehand here (seated and standing versions are available).
Join us as we celebrate a range of abilities in dance and prove that you are never too old or inexperienced to try something new.
