Yorkshire Dance is delighted to announce the appointment of Bhuvan Sharma as its new Executive Director. Bhuvan joins the team in Leeds to support the ambitions and activity of the company.

With 15 years of experience, Bhuvan’s professional stints previously included managing business operations and group strategy across UK, USA, Canada, Australia, UAE and India for a global dance education and performing arts company.

Bhuvan says: “I am honoured to be a part of the team here at Yorkshire Dance, an organisation that champions the value of dance and has served its community for decades. As a voice for change in a more divided world, the organisation continues to be a beacon that shines its light on the matters most urgent to today’s and future generations. Dance has given me the privilege to travel the world, experience new cultures and grow as an artist and more importantly, as a human being. I couldn’t be more excited to now continue that journey with Yorkshire Dance in Leeds and I look forward to growing with the organisation in the years to come.”

Outside his corporate life, as a performing artist, dance teacher and event manager, Bhuvan has performed at some of the biggest events and award ceremonies across the globe. With an MBA from Cass Business School, Bhuvan brings his unique skillset and passion for performing arts to Yorkshire Dance, where he will have the overall responsibility for the administration, finance, personnel, building management and policy setting for the organisation.
