Financial support available for engaging young people with a learning disability or autism in Yorkshire
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive dance, Yorkshire Dance are offering financial support to seed fund dance activity that is focussed on engaging young people with a learning disability or autism in Yorkshire.
This can be a partnership with an SEND school or a community partner and can be led by an independent dance artist or dance organisation.
This strand of focussed support builds legacy from the Talent Hub – a partnership with TIN Arts and Inclusion North, focussed on recognising and supporting talented dancers with a learning disability or autism. The work you propose can start anytime from October 2021.
HOW IS THIS FOR?
If you are a school who wants to develop a dance project with your students or you are an artist that wants to develop a dance programme with young people with a learning disability or autism, please apply.
We are particularly interested in projects that wish to make longer term impact and build long term relationships and we hope that this contribution can be a first step towards this.
We are able to support between 3 and 6 projects with between £500 and £1500.
HOW TO APPLY
Email Hannah Robertshaw (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the subject line SEED FUND DANCE ACTIVITY no later than midday on Monday 20th September 2021. Please include:
- Your name
- Your contact details
- The name of your school/community partner and where they are based
- How much money you are asking for
- An outline of what you would like to do and why and how this supports longer term goals
If you would like to tell us about your idea in a different way, please contact Hannah. This could include sending us a short video or voice recording if this is your preferred way of applying.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
A team of 3 people from Yorkshire Dance and Tin Arts will read your proposal. We will contact you via email if we have any further questions.
We will contact everyone via email, including those who we are unable to support, no later than the 24th September 2021.
