About Family Encounters
Encounters is a mini festival which takes place three times throughout the year. It aims to inspire, provoke and increase our collective insight and understanding into the most important topics of our times through dance. Each Encounters has a different thematic focus, however particular ingredients stay in place throughout the festivals, which include food, conversation, seeing work, workshops and talks.
The Family Encounters focusses on the relationship between children and adults, playfully asking us and our children to reflect on, explore, and re-imagine these relationships. The festival includes performances from Des Gestes Blancs, Dadodans, Four Hands, and an intergenerational work choreographed by TC Howard, as well as workshops led by Rachel Dean, Katy Hewison, Nisha Lall, Nii Kwartey Owoo, Des Gestes Blancs, and members of Yorkshire Dance’s very own Street Crew.
To enquire about this role please complete the form below or contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Callum Holt on 0113 243 8765 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for enquiries is Friday 7th February 2020.
