Mesh – free workshops
A dance research project by Vanessa Grasse
FREE WORKSHOPS – CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Join choreographer Vanessa Grasse on a new dance research project exploring how a choreography for a large group of people can show the importance of interdependence through collaborative, self-organising and inclusive group movements.
In response to our current divisive political climate, the research looks at how a choreographic work can create a ritual of togetherness in different indoor and outdoor public spaces. Vanessa will work with a group of professional and non-professional dancers and collaborate with anthropologist Tim Ingold and science writer Philip Ball, considering different studies of collective and interdependent behaviours. The research will culminate in two public sharings in Leeds and Wakefield.
