Collective Encounters Welcome Event and Introduction to Allyship with Curious Arts | 09.45-10.45am

Join us for a warm Encounters welcome and introduction to the festival. Meet the guest artists and speakers and discover what to expect across the festival programme. 

Introductions will be followed by an Introduction to Allyship workshop led by Curious Arts. 

Curious Arts present a gentle and supportive space to explore LGBTQ+ allyship through a presentation, conversation and personal reflection.  

You’re encouraged to consider allyship in both personal and professional contexts, identifying ways to actively support LGBTQ+ communities with practical actions to foster inclusion, challenge discrimination, and create meaningful change. 

Curious Arts is a LGBTQIA+ arts and youth charity based in Hartlepool and working across the North and beyond. 

The event will culminate in a pop-up solo performance by Thick & Tight showcasing their distinctive mix of extraordinary dance, mime, theatre & drag, taking influence from a wide range of historical, political, literary & artistic subjects.
