Ex-Phoenix company dancer Antonio is very much looking forward bringing you a fun-filled contemporary dance workshop as a part of RE:FRESH. Join Phoenix Dance Theatre for a very exciting class, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the contemporary dance style and learn movement material from company repertoire ‘Bloom’.

The workshop will take place on Zoom. After booking you will be sent the Zoom code and login details. 

Antonio Borriello

Born in Italy, Antonio trained at CODARTS Rotterdam (Rotterdam Dance Academy) in Holland and performed with Phoenix Dance Theatre as a company dancer from 2012-2013. Since 2013 Antonio has worked with our Access & Education department as a teacher, delivering workshops/residencies throughout the country and as Youth Academy Coordinator; nurturing the next generation of contemporary dancers through leading on our Youth Academy programme.

Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Access and Education Department aims to inspire and empower people through the medium of contemporary dance. They are committed to providing opportunities for all through provisions ranging from regular weekly classes as part of their Saturday School, Older Adults, No Bounds Boys and Illuminate Dance (children and young people with additional needs) programmes, prevocational training in the Youth Academies based in Leeds, Gateshead and York – to bespoke schools’ packages working on Cross-Curricular or performance led projects.
