A two-day Artists’ Skills Exchange presented by Yorkshire Dance in partnership with the Artists’ Exchange Programme
Initiated by Danielle Teale, the AEP is an artist led skills exchange initiative for community dance artists drawing on the collective skills and experience of the artists involved to develop a rich dialogue and meaningful practical exploration together. Over two-days, the AEP Skills Exchange will draw on the core theme of artistic integrity, people and communication, resilience and self-significance in workshops and dialogue; enabling your artistic voice to be heard and forming a strong and supportive artistic network.
Artists should have a breadth of experience working in community dance and consider their practice to fall within professional, choreographic and community engaging practice. The Skills Exchange is suitable for mid-career artists looking to broaden their network, exchange ideas, reflect and analyse their practice for the future benefit of their career longevity and the quality of experience for the dancers they work with.
Read Danielle’s blog from the Artists’ Exchange Conversation in Hertfordshire, Feb 2019.
Another Artists’ Exchange Weekend will take place in Sheffield on 25 & 26 May.
Bursaries will be offered to attending artists, who will be selected on the basis of an expression of interest.
