Develop your expertise in teaching and leading dance with young people, inside or outside the school setting.
These workshops have grown out of a research project by the University of Leeds and Yorkshire Dance, working with teenagers and studying the benefits of dance to their health and wellbeing.
Explore a range of techniques, developed during the process, to support the positive physical, psychological and social impact of your dance practice.
A mix of practical work and conversation, the workshops will explain the research findings and encourage you to share your own experiences and skills through peer learning and two-way practical exchange.
They will also equip you to advocate powerfully for dance with young people, supported by robust academic research.
Please wear clothes you’ll be comfortable moving in.
This research was funded by Arts Council England and the workshop is supported by the Children and Young People’s Dance Network North.
