On Behalf of Rachel Clarke Dance Company, Kayleigh Price will be teaching a FREE open class, which will be taking place whilst the company are in residence at Yorkshire Dance.
Kayleigh’s class focuses on the dynamic movement whilst maintaining technique. They are influenced on techniques through Cunningham and Graham experimenting with her own twist moving that she has developed as a professional throughout the years. Expect a lot of moving through the space and in and out of the floor, there’s always good music to dance along too.
Kayleigh trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where she then went onto train with Verve ‘14 with choreography by Gemma Nixon & Jonathan Goddard, Lea Anderson, Ben Duke and Jamaal Burkmar. As a performer Kayleigh has worked with many artists such as; Eleesha Drennan, Joseph Reid, Nathan Johnston, Jamaal Burkmar, Tino Seghal, Daniel Phung and is a former a member of ACE dance and Music and Rees Dance. Kayleigh has also choreographed her own work called ‘Two’, in collaboration with Daniel Phung, that was performed at the ‘Young Minds Matter’ festival in Lisbon, Portugal. Whilst Kayleigh’s passion is in performing, she is also a guest lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, teaching the technique class, ‘Body Work’, that is influenced from her dance practice and her take in, Cunningham, Graham and her experiences working as a professional.
