REQUARDT & ROSENBERG was established in 2010 to create dance performance away from the auditorium and studio, either in outdoor locations or within temporary structures.
Co-directed by Frauke Requardt and David Rosenberg, they’ve created spectacular outdoor collaborations such as Electric Hotel, Motor Show and The Roof and recently an up-close experience for a limited audience, DeadClub.
REQUARDT & ROSENBERG will share their creative processes of these past and present projects.
The starting point for their work to date is the architectural constraints and possibilities posed by the set and how this defines the audience’s perspective onto the action.
You will explore how movement is created in response to the particular environment /architecture of each show and how meaning shifts with an unusual or unfamiliar viewpoint.
You will also be invited to think through possible audience placements and set ideas within your own work and explore their inherent consequences and potential or assumed meanings.Back to all eventsBack to Working with Artists
