About Advanced/ Professional Level Contemporary Dance Class
Professional contemporary dance class, blending Cunningham technique with diverse influences. Designed for experienced dancers, it offers technical rigor, expressive dynamism, and performance-driven energy, inspiring growth and artistry. Elevate your craft through a challenging, immersive experience rooted in tradition and personal insight.
Martin trained at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) in Leeds, where he studied Graham, Cunningham, and Classical Ballet techniques. Graduating in 1992, he joined Moving East Dance Company and has collaborated with Kontack Dance, Matthew Hawkins, Janet Smith, Power/Henson, and more.
What to Wear
Loose, comfortable clothing for unrestricted movement—think jogging bottoms paired with a breathable t-shirt. Socks, bare feet, ballet shoes or lightweight dance footwear like jazz shoes which prioritize ease of movement to fully embrace the fluidity of our practice.
