Scrap Play 11.00am-3.00pm

Step inside the world of easy going, planet loving scrap play with the play tent. Rock, roll, stack, swoosh and wiggle as you play your own way with brilliant reclaimed materials.

The play tent bring their creative, imaginative playscape to the festival for your young ones to explore at their own pace – pop in for a quick play between shows or linger for a while if you settle into your flow! All welcome!

The play tent, facilitated by Atelierista Victoria Lungu, creates spaces for young children and their families to express themselves creatively through play and art. With a strong belief in the capabilities of children, inspired by the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, the play tent values curiosity, exploration and process.

Find us and access

Yorkshire Dance is opposite BBC Yorkshire and Leeds Conservatoire. There is step free access throughout the building and wheelchair spaces are available. Our building contains baby changing, free drinking water and a rest space. A room to leave prams is available throughout the festival. Yorkshire Dance aims to be an accessible and inclusive place for all. We create a ‘braver space’, where you feel able to express yourself in a supportive and empowering way. Please note the audience will be seated on floor cushions for this interactive performance but chairs are available for those who prefer.
