Yorkshire Dance’s much loved Creative Projects Producer, Kirsty Redhead, is leaving this August to start a new role at Festival of Thrift. Kirsty has been pivotal to Yorkshire Dance’s development over the past 15 years, encompassing the development of our Encounters Festival Programme and our intergenerational Company Of People. Kirsty’s most recent achievement was producing Yorkshire Dance’s Ageless Festival, which took place earlier this month.

Kirsty’s past achievements at Yorkshire Dance include Juncture Festival, Friday Firsts Programme and producing for independent artists such as Vanessa Grasse and Gracefool Collective.

Recently named in the iconic Ribbons Statue, which celebrates influential women of Leeds, Kirsty is someone whose legacy will live on with the artists, communities and colleagues that she’s worked with.

We look forward to continuing Kirsty’s excellent work with the spirit, humour and warmth that she so brilliantly led with.
