shed-ache by aKa Dance Theatre | 11.00-12.00noon

shed-ache is a seriously silly dance theatre show that transports little people and their grown ups to a world that sits somewhere between reality and make believe.

Two friends (three if you count the shed!) get up to all sorts whilst faced with downpours, lava floors and socks falling out of the sky.

shed-ache is a laugh out loud production about the give and take of friendship, the power of imagination and the importance of embracing experiences whatever the weather.

Be prepared to be blown away by aKa’s brand new family-friendly show which is bright and sunny. With 100% chance of laughter.

All ages welcome. Aimed at age 2+ You can also catch shed-ache at 3pm.

Age suitability

An age range is provided for guidance only. We welcome family audiences of all ages. If you have any queries or concerns about age suitability please give us a ring before booking on 0113 243 8765.

Find us and access

Yorkshire Dance is opposite BBC Yorkshire and Leeds Conservatoire. There is step free access throughout the building and wheelchair spaces are available. Our building contains baby changing, free drinking water and a rest space. A room to leave prams is available throughout the festival. Chest or breast feeding is welcome throughout the venue. Full access information for Yorkshire Dance is available here.

Yorkshire Dance aims to be an accessible and inclusive place for all. We create a ‘braver space’, where you feel able to express yourself in a supportive and empowering way. You will be welcomed and treated with respect by Yorkshire Dance staff and we expect and encourage everyone at Encounters to do the same. Learn more about our Braver Spaces Policy here.

Please note the audience will be seated on floor cushions for this interactive performance but chairs are available for those who prefer.
