About Community Roller Dance by The Skate Scholarship
Roller Dance is a type of roller skating that has been around for decades. Community Roller Dance Sessions are a friendly, no-pressure space to learn the art of roller dance together. We cater for beginners and more advanced skaters. You must be able to stand still on skates, go forward and stop safely. We will learn basic steps from Downtown, Zero, Strut Walk, to learning routines as a group.
We vary between learning skate skills for roller dance, routines and dances. This term we will alternate between structured Taught Lesson and a Skill Share Session. The taught lessons are more structured, whilst the skill share sessions are more free, but there is still a coach available for questions:
What to Wear
You need to have your own roller skates with or without toestops for this class. If you want to do roller dance fundamentals and don’t have your own roller skates please email us on info@theskatescholarship.com and we will assess on a one to one basis whether we can lend you roller skates.
Wear comfortable clothing, no flaring trousers that can caught into roller skate wheels.
How to book
Book online, call 07934591045 or email info@theskatescholarship.com.
