About AICI Kathak Lab — Kathak for the Digital Age
AICI Kathak Lab teaches Kathak as a lifestyle practice for the digital age — building strength, focus, and confidence through rhythm, music, and movement. Each 60-minute class is a complete unit, so join once, a few times, or the full series. All ages and abilities welcome. No experience needed.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. Leggings or loose trousers with a T-shirt or kurta are ideal. Avoid clothing that is tight or restrictive around the hips or ankles, as Kathak includes spins (chakkars) and fast footwork. Kathak is traditionally danced barefoot, so no shoes are needed. If you cannot dance barefoot, thin socks are acceptable. Ghungroos (traditional ankle bells) may be introduced later for rhythm practice, but they are not needed for beginners.
How to Book & Prices
Classes cost £12.00 per session or £120 for a block of 12 classes (Early Bird: £96 – valid until 31st December 2025). You can book in advance by emailing Kriti on telang.kriti@gmail.com or texting or whatsapp her on 07553212723. Drop ins on the night are also welcome. Bring cash or card to the session.
