Although currently working in the construction industry for a commercial fit out company based in Leeds, Hayley’s involvement in the world of dance started at age 2 with ballet lessons under the tutelage of Mrs June Pughe FBBO at Allesley School of Dance.

Her love of dance sparked a career in the arts starting with a degree in Theatre Performance Technology from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and continuing in various Stage and Production Management roles across the world. In 2014, she moved to Leeds to become Company Stage Manager for Phoenix Dance Theatre and has since worked for Northern Ballet and Opera North.

Throughout her career in the arts and construction, Hayley has taken on responsibilities in Governance, HR, Finance and IT as well as uniquely understanding how the business of arts works. She is delighted to be able to be part of the Board at Yorkshire Dance and continues her dance lessons with Ping Liem covering Ballroom, Latin, West Coast Swing and American Smooth.
