Hannah and Kirsty join 300 inspirational women named on ‘Ribbons’
Mon 13 May 2024Two of our incredible team, Hannah Robertshaw and Kirsty Redhead, join 300 inspirational Leeds women who will have their names included on ‘Ribbons’. The new sculpture by artist Pippa Hale arrives in Leeds Cultural quarter in July and aims to celebrate women, past and present, who have contributed to the city.
Hannah is our Creative Director and alongside her work at Yorkshire Dance she also volunteers her time as a Board member of the Writing Squad. She was nominated for her commitment to widening access to dance for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Kirsty is our Creative Projects Producer and after 25 years in dance in Leeds she was nominated for her dedication to making dance accessible for people in Leeds (most recently for her work on Company of People).
Kirsty and Hannah are both honoured to be included alongside inspirational women of Leeds such as social reformer and suffragist, Isabella Ford, former Olympic boxer, Nicola Adams OBE and Leeds West Indian Carnival founder, Gertrude Paul.
