New Interim CEO and Artistic Director
Fri 22 July 2022We are thrilled to announce that Hannah Robertshaw will take on the role of Interim Artistic Director and CEO.
Hannah has been with the organisation for 8 years, most recently in the role of Programmes Director. Hannah is immensely well respected in the sector and beyond having successfully curated the popular second edition of Ageless festival, her brain-child, and developed new strategic partnerships and funded project work within arts, health, third sector and sport.
Hannah will take over from outgoing CEO Wieke Eringa on August 15th for a 10 month period.
“Hannah is a hugely talented arts-leader, artist, curator, coach and strategist. I couldn’t be happier to hand over the reins to someone so well qualified, positive and with such vision for the role of dance and art-making in our society. Hannah brings out the best in people, communities, artists and staff and will do brilliantly in negotiating this period of development” Wieke Eringa, outgoing CEO & Artistic Director
Hannah says: “I care deeply about Yorkshire Dance and the family of artists and communities we work with. It’s an honour to support the organisation through this period of development and I feel both energised and excited by what we can achieve together.”
The Board of directors are using this interim period to research the most suitable leadership model for the future, with the support of consultant Theresa Beattie. We aim for this to be announced later this autumn, alongside a new recruitment process.
