We stand in solidarity with Global Majority, Refugee and Asylum seeking people in Yorkshire
Thu 8 August 2024Yorkshire Dance is appalled by the riots, violence, racism and hatred which have unfolded in communities across the UK over the last week. This has impacted the safety of the artists who deliver our dance sessions, the people who come each week to enjoy their dance class and our staff team.
As a charity we are passionate about bringing people from all walks of life together through dance. We are opposed to violence, racism, harassment and discrimination in our communities.
During this time of unrest we stand in solidarity with all Global Majority, Refugee and Asylum seeking people in Yorkshire and beyond. We encourage all our artists, staff and participants to look out for each other over the next few weeks. If your event has been affected by recent riots and we can help out with publicity or free studio space please get in touch.
We are receptive to any suggestions you have. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to proactively stand in solidarity with Global Majority, Refugee and Asylum seeking people in Yorkshire.
