Creative Tap | 10.30 -11.30am
A fun, high energy class which uses tapping, clapping and body percussion to create new dance routines to global rhythms.
We teach basic tap technique including shuffles and pick ups whilst exploring body percussion to global rhythms from samba to reggae to afrobeat. We use call and response, movement games and improv to build coordination, musicality, teamwork, listening skills and confidence.
Perfect for kids who love exploring sounds and making music. Noise is encouraged!
At the end of term, the group perform as part of an informal sharing for parents.
Age Guidance
The age guidance for this class is 4-8 years old. If you are new to Saturday Superstars give us a ring on 0113 243 8765 and we can advise on which class is most suitable.
What to wear
For this session we recommend comfy clothes and shoes which stomp, such as trainers or tap shoes.
Term Dates and Booking Information
Autumn term runs from 13 September to 13 December with our Children and their Grown Ups festival on 18 October and a half term break on 25 October.

About Our Building and Access
The entrance to Yorkshire Dance is opposite the BBC building, a map and parking information can be found here.
Changing rooms on the first floor contain baby changing facilities and there are lifts to all floors. Yorkshire Dance aims to run dance programmes which are accessible and inclusive for all.
