Older and Bolder: So Far, So Good… draws in the crowds at Bradford 2025
Tue 14 October 2025Part of: So Far, So Good... with TC Howard & Dance On Bradford | July 2025 | Dance On | Weekly sessions for over 55s

Participants and artists from our Dance On programme performed in new work So Far, So Good… co-created with TC Howard on Saturday 26 July as part of BD: Festival at Darley Street Market in Bradford.
So Far, So Good… is a playful look at ageing: the achievements we celebrate, the mistakes we make and the wisdom we pick up on the way. It’s a reminder that no matter how old we are, there’s always more to follow, more to discover and more to enjoy.

So Far, So Good… was co-created with dance artist TC Howard with support from 3 Bradford dance artists Joachim Keke, Tricia Arthur-Stubbs and James Mounsey alongside the artists and participants from Yorkshire Dance’s Dance On – a programme of 13 weekly dance groups in Bradford for residents aged 55+.

Adorned with slogans reading ‘proud to be’, ‘it wasn’t me’ and ‘hello’ the performers opened with gentle balletic movements before getting groovy with shoulder shrugs, fancy footwork and a megaphone loudly celebrating their discoveries about ageing! The group performed twice to a crowd of entertained onlookers.

One audience member said:
“I was fortunate enough to see the performance of So Far So Good over the weekend as part of the BD Festival. It brought me and my mum to tears and filled us with joy within a short space of time – absolutely fantastic.”

This project was supported by Bradford 2025 City of Culture.
