Yorkshire Dance suspends work with older adults due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Tue 17 March 2020Yorkshire Dance has taken the decision to temporarily suspend our work with older adults due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As of today we will be suspending our Dance On programme until further notice. We want to put the health and well-being of our participants and artists first and, in line with government guidance, we do not feel it is responsible to continue to run the classes at this time. We will be working with our funders, partners and local networks to ensure the older adults who attend the sessions maintain contact with our brilliant dance artists to help lessen and alleviate feelings of isolation and/or loneliness.
We will continue to pay our freelance artists for sessions we have needed to suspend and would like to thank them for their cooperation, support and creativity as we think of alternative ways of keeping in touch with the older adults we work with.
We are in the process of reviewing the rest of our participation and performance programme and will update you as soon as possible about what is and is not going ahead. However, if you have any immediate questions please don’t hesitate to call us on 0113 243 8765. We would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation and urge you to look after yourselves.
All our best wishes, Yorkshire Dance.
